Update: Southington Road To Be Closed Through Saturday AM

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Repairs to fix Tuesday afternoon's water main break on West Queen Street are expected to continue into the weekend, police said Friday afternoon.

But West Queen Street will remain closed through Saturday morning until 6 a.m., according to Southington police Friday.

"Be advised that West Queen Street remains closed between Captain Lewis Drive and Redstone Street while crews continue to repair a broken water main," Southington police said via FaceBook earlier this week.

Police said access to Captain Lewis Drive must be made from West Street and access to Redstone Street can be made from Queen Street.

Work is expected to continue throughout the day Friday into Saturday morningas the local water department is currently working on a water main break.
