Woman Charged With Passing Counterfeit Bills at Southington Store

A woman was arrested for allegedly passing fake bills at a Southington store

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A woman has been charged for allegedly passing fake big bills at a local store, Southington police said.

Police on Wednesday arrested Lynn Pelletier, 26, of Southington was arrested at Bristol Superior Court on an outstanding warrant.

She was charged with two counts of first-degree forgery and two counts of sixth-degree larceny, police said.

The warrant stemmed from two separate incidents in March in which she allegedly went to the local TJ Maxx store and presented a $100 bill to purchase items that was later determined to be counterfeit, police said.

Through working with other police departments that had similar incidents, Pelletier was developed as a suspect and an arrest warrant was applied for and granted, police said.

A $10,000 court set bond was set.
