World Teacher Day: Who is Your Favorite Teacher in Southington?

Monday, October 5 is World Teacher Day.

“The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called ’truth.’” ~Dan Rather

According to DaysoftheYear.com, this day “aims to raise awareness of the importance of the role played by teachers all over the world.”

If you’re lucky, you had that one special teacher who believed in you, encouraged you to pursue your passion and dream big. For me that was my high school Creative Writing teacher, Ms. DeLac. She always found something positive to say about my work and had a knack for giving constructive criticism in a way that made me want to do better.

In honor of World Teacher Day, and to give those special people the recognition they deserve, Patch will feature stories of special teachers in our community. To nominate your favorite teacher please answer the questions below.
