After 25 Years, South Windsor Public Safety Dispatcher Retires

Police said the dispatcher is retiring after 25 years fielding police, fire and EMS calls in South Windsor.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police are marking the retirement of Public Safety Dispatcher Gary Rossignol, who is leaving the job after 25 years of service to the town.

In a social media post, the department said Rossignol worked all three shifts during his career. Police said he dispatched tens of thousands of calls involving police, fire and emergency medical services.

The department also said Rossignol was one of the original members of the Regional Incident Dispatch Team. Police described him as a friend and brother to colleagues in the department.

Rossignol is retiring Friday, according to the post. South Windsor police congratulated him on his retirement and thanked him for his years of service.
