SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The following arrests were reported by the South Windsor Police Department in a news release issued Monday. Charges are allegations, not findings of guilt.
- Sept. 17: Madusudana R. Vakati, 55, of Cromwell, was charged with driving under the influence, traveling unreasonably fast and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Police said an officer stopped Vakati after seeing him drive faster than 75 mph. He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is due in Manchester Superior Court Oct. 7.
- Sept. 18: Aiyana U. Brown, 22, of East Hartford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny. Police said she attempted to steal $274 in merchandise from Target on Buckland Hills Drive. She was released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 7.
- Sept. 19: Sarah M. Leahy, 36, of Vernon, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Police said she went to a home after being told she was not allowed there and pushed someone at the residence. She was held on a $1,500 cash or surety bond and appeared in court Sept. 21.
- Sept. 20: Edmund S. Snyder-Jefferson, 18, of Hartford, was charged with disorderly conduct after police investigated a report of a man pushing a woman in an apartment complex parking lot. Police said he grabbed the woman. He was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in court Sept. 21.
- Sept. 21: Lance J. Strzegowski, 53, of East Granby, was charged with driving under the influence. Police said officers found him in a business parking lot after a report that a former employee had been asked to leave. He was released on a $2,000 non-surety bond and is due in court Oct. 5.
- Sept. 24: Mia S. Cobbs, 53, of Bloomfield, was charged with disorderly conduct following what police described as a physical altercation during a domestic violence incident. She was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in court Sept. 25.
- Sept. 25: Brandon K. Arbouche, 19, of South Windsor, was charged with misuse of the emergency 911 system. Police said dispatchers received 911 texts containing profanity that were unrelated to an emergency. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is due in court Oct. 14.
- Sept. 27: Antonio Chiulli, 44, of South Windsor, was charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order. Police said he argued with someone, broke the glass in a front door and violated a protective order involving that person. He was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
