Arrest made in 2014 South Windsor Car-Ramming Case

South Windsor police arrested a man for a 2014 car-ramming case.

SOUTH WINDSOR — South Windsor police have made an arrest in a 2014 car-ramming case.

On Thursday, South Windsor Police arrested William Martinez, age 52, of Franklin Avenue, Hartford, on an outstanding warrant, according to a report.

He was charged with two counts of third-degree assault, three counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of reckless driving, failure to maintain minimum insurance, speeding, illegal operation of a motor vehicle with the intent to harass, unsafe passing, and a seat belt violation, police said.

Martinez’ charges stem from a 2014 motor vehicle accident that occurred at Oakland Road and Felt Road, police said.

Investigators learned that Martinez had been involved in road rage incident that began in Manchester and continued into South Windsor, according to a report.

Martinez had rammed the other vehicle which pushed it into a third car, flipping it onto its roof, police said.

Officers later obtained an arrest warrant for Martinez, but did not locate him until last
week, according to a report.
