Arrest Made in South Windsor Retail Robbery, Security Scuffle
A man is being held on an $85,000 bond for a South Windsor retail theft.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A man has been charged for a South Windsor retail store robbery, police said.
South Windsor police on Tuesday arrested Gregory Williams, 55, of 904 Garden Street, Hartford, CT on an arrest warrant at Manchester Superior Court. He was charged with first-degree robbery and
sixth-degree larceny, police said

Williams was held at court on $85,000 bond, which was maintained by a judge. He remained in custody oin Thursday with a return date of Jan. 8, judicial system records indicate.
Williams’ charges stem from a March 2017 incident at a Buckland Road retail store in which he was fought with security officers after being caught shoplifting, police said.

He told security officers he had a gun, even though he did not display one, and left the store with two Amazon Fire tablets, police said.
An arrest warrant was obtained and served at court Tuesday morning.
