Babysitter Accused of Stealing Checks, Jewelry from South Windsor Family
Glastonbury's Karen Broderick, 42, faces charges of identity theft, larceny and forgery.

A Glastonbury woman is accused of stealing checks and jewelry from a South Windsor family she was babysitting for, according to a police press release.
South Windsor police arrested Karen Broderick, 42, of 25 School Street in Glastonbury on an arrest warrant on Tuesday. Broderick was charged with third-degree identity theft, third-degree larceny and third-degree forgery.
Police said that Broderick’s arrest stems from a July 2014 complaint from a local resident that checks and jewelry had been stolen from his home. The victim suspected that their family babysitter, Broderick, was responsible.
