Bank Robbery Suspect Shot by Police Dies
Christopher Anderson was shot while approaching officers with a weapon.

The suspect in a South Windsor bank robbery who was shot by police Friday afternoon has died.
Christopher Anderson, 53, of Hartford, died Sunday night at Hartford Hospital, according to a statement from the Connecticut State Police.
Anderson is suspected of committing a robbery at the First Niagara Bank in South Windsor around 3 p.m. Friday. He fled in his car, leading police on a chase through Manchester into Bolton.

When he exited the vehicle, he approached police with a weapon in his hands. Manchester police officer Jason Wagner fired his Taser, but Anderson removed the prongs and continued advancing toward police.
Manchester officer Layau Eulizier and state police trooper Brian Contenta then fired their duty weapons, striking Anderson. He was transported by ambulance to Hartford Hospital, the statement said.
