Bear Sighted Again In South Windsor

Police are asking the public to not approach the animal.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - A juvenile bear who has been seen in town was spotted again Wednesday in the area of Summerwood Drive and South Satellite Road. The bear had found a large bag of bird seed outside, police said.

Police asked the public not approach the animal. Instead, if you see the animal, make loud noises to warn it away from your yard and pets.

It has not shown any signs of aggression and there is no plan to relocate the bear. For more information on black bears in Connecticut, see the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's website.
