New South Windsor Restaurant Opening Soon

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Benson’s Bagels plans to open its new South Windsor shop Thursday, Oct. 8, at 1014 Sullivan Ave., the business announced.

The shop listed hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in its grand opening announcement on Facebook. It will serve bagels and bagel sandwiches for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

“The wait is over!” the business wrote. “Benson’s Bagels is officially OPENING Thursday 10/8/26 in South Windsor, CT!”

The announcement gives customers an opening date after Patch’s Sept. 24 update on the shop’s preparations.

At that time, Town Manager Michael Maniscalco reported that the South Windsor Health Department had conducted a walkthrough and allowed the owner to begin bringing food into the restaurant. A final inspection was still required before opening, according to the report cited in Patch’s coverage.

South Windsor will be Benson’s second Connecticut location. The Springfield-based business also has a shop on Enfield Street in Enfield, as Patch previously reported.
