Between Rounds Establishes Grocery Partnership with Fitzgerald's Foods in Simsbury

Between Rounds Bakery Sandwich Café, a growing bakery café and bagel shop with locations throughout Connecticut, has recently partnered with award-winning Fitzgerald's Foods in Simsbury, CT to supply their signature bagels to Fitzgerald's customers.

Fans of Between Rounds Bakery Sandwich Café will now be able to obtain Between Rounds' signature bagels from the gourmet bakery department of Fitzgerald's Foods, which is located in Drake Hill Mall, 710 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury, CT 06070.

Founded by brothers John and James Fitzgerald more than four decades ago, Fitzgerald's Foods of Simsbury is owned by Bryan Devoe and his wife, Sandy, and daughter, Heather Kelly. The Devoe family carries on the tradition of providing high quality, local products such as Between Rounds signature bagels, to the community.

"As a family owned business we are delighted to partner with Between Rounds, another family owned business, and feature their superior products in our bakery department," said Devoe. "In addition to Between Rounds' delicious bagels, Fitzgerald's is proud to offer dozens of local Connecticut produced products, from eggs, dairy and meat products to maple syrup and other shelf stable items."

Between Rounds has been in business for more than two decades and is the brainchild of brothers Jerry and Joe Puiia, who are Staten Island, NY natives. Between Rounds current locations include South Windsor (corporate headquarters), Vernon, Manchester and Tolland. The Puiia hallmark is manufacturing and selling their own bagels, which sets them apart from other cafés. The popularity of their bagels inspired the Puiias to partner with independent grocers. The bagels are delivered to grocers fully baked so no additional labor is required of the bakery department.
