Bobcats Cruise Past Fermi in Hoop Action

South Windsor led by double digits from the second quarter on en route to a 65-32 boys basketball win Friday night.

Needing a shot in the arm after a tough start to the season, the South Windsor High School boys basketball team got just what it needed Friday night.

The Bobcats jumped to a 24-11 halftime lead and never looked back, coasting to a 65-32 victory over visiting Fermi in CCC action.

After a close opening period, South Windsor outscored the Falcons 13-4 in the second quarter to establish a double digit lead, which continually increased as the game progressed.

Kewan Smoot led all scorers with 18 points, and Shane Young had 16 for the Bobcats. Anthony Frascarelli contributed 12 long-range points on a quartet of three-pointers.

Josh Pasini had 14 points and Colin O’Connell added 11 for the Falcons.

South Windsor (2-6) travels to Manchester Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. Fermi (0-7) hosts Rockville the same night at 7 p.m.
