Car Crashes into Tree at South Windsor-Ellington Town Line (Updated)
The driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation, Ellington Road is closed.
South Windsor police are investigating a single car motor vehicle accident on Route 74 at the Ellington town line.
Police said that at about 1:30 p.m. a black Honda left the roadway and struck a tree. The male operator was transported to Hartford hospital for evaluation of injuries.
The road will remain closed until about 3:30 p.m. while officers investigate the crash.

State Police, Ellington and South Windsor Fire Departments also responded to the scene.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is requested to contact Officer Stephen Hoover of the traffic unit at 860-644-2551.

South Windsor police said the roadway will be reopened at 4:30 p.m.
