Conard Sends South Windsor Field Hockey to First Loss
Cassie Falvey scores game-winner in CCC showdown.

The Conard girls’ field hockey team edged South Windsor 3-2 in a CCC showdownTuesday afternoon in West Hartford and sent the Bobcats to their first loss of the season.
The Chieftains improved to 8-1-1 with the win, while South Windsor slipped to 7-1.
Cassie Falvey scored the game-winning goal with 2 minutes, 29 seconds to go in the game.

“ We had high expectations for them coming in,” Conard coach Cathy Callahan told Derek Turner of GameTimeCT.com. ”We expected we’d have to play 110 percent.”
South Windsor battled back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game, which coach Michelle Wardwell said was good to see since the team hasn’t been in that situation yet this season.
