Construction Update: Chapel Road Between Clark and Rugby Will Be Closed

The following is an update from the Town of South Windsor:

Chapel Road between Clark and Rugby will again be closed during the workdays this week as the crew on the site installs the second of two 500’ sections of new sewer line. The roadway will be opened for eastbound traffic overnight. If all goes well crews will work next week in the intersections of both Clark and Rugby to remove the temporary pumping system and above ground lines, but will have traffic control in place to alternate traffic if required. Final paving will probably be a little later on in the fall. The on-site engineer will be in contact later in the week as details for early next week become available. Emergency Services should use alternate routes such as the posted Rugby detour during the work week (0700-1700). Reminder: School starts next Wednesday, August 29^th.
