Craft Beer- Its History & Art
The Oct. 13 program of the South Windsor Historical Society at the Schoolhouse Museum will explore craft beer.
A brief history of beer and some tips on how to make it will be discussed at the Oct. 13 program of the South Windsor Historical Society.
Jocelyn and Bob Hanlon of Massachusetts will be the guest speakers. Though both are electrical engineers, they have been making craft beer at their home and will demonstrate how it is done, along with interesting information about the growing appeal of craft beer.
One local sign of the growth of the craft beer industry is the 15,000-square-foot facility for the Connecticut Valley Brewing Co. taking shape on Sullivan Avenue and slated to be operating this summer.
The program, which is free and open to the public will be at the historical society’s Pleasant Valley Schoolhouse Museum, 771 Ellington Rd., at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
