Detours to Be Set Up on Avery Street in South Windsor

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Avery Street will be closed between Woodland Drive and Pine Knob Drive during daytime hours beginning Thursday, police said.

The street will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for installation of a large storm water pipe that will require extensive excavation. It may take up to two weeks to complete the project, police said.

A detour will be established directing traffic from Pine Knob Drive to Highland Drive to Woodland Drive with appropriate signage, and flagmen will be posted to direct traffic, according to police.
