SOUTH WINDOR, CT — The South Windsor Town Council has scheduled a "discussion" for next week related to the closing of Willow Brook Golf Course.

The discussion is on the agenda for the Jan. 21 council meeting, which is scheduled for 7 p.m.

South Windsor Town Manager Michael Maniscalco was quick to point out that the land that had hosted the par-60, 3,000-yard executive course at 124 Brookfield Street is privately owned. He added that, to his knowledge, it was not currently on the market.

He also said that town officials have had no formal discussions to purchase the land.

Town officials, he said, just want to hear what residents think of the property in terms of a use most beneficial to the town.
