In the early morning hours on Thanksgiving Day

An intoxicated East Hartford man was arrested early Thanksgiving Day after he bit a man in the lip, broke things in the victim’s home and then spit inside a police cruiser as he was being transported to South Windsor Police headquarters, according to authorities.

Joshua Francoeur, 29, of Lariaia Avenue in East Hartford, was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Third degree, Assault in the Third degree, Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Pay or Plead.

The incident began just after midnight after Francoeur was invited to the victim’s Quarrybrook Drive home. Police said Francoeur “became intoxicated and began breaking things. During the dispute the suspect bit the resident on the lip.”
