East Catholic High School All About Relationships
Here, our main focus is on relationships – relationships between students, students and teachers, and students and the community.

At East Catholic High School, we offer a Catholic, college preparatory, values-based education for students of all races, creeds, and ethnic origins within an authentically Catholic, yet ecumenically sensitive community.
Since its founding in 1961, the school has endeavored to educate the whole person, striving to guide students along the path of achieving academic excellence, personal growth, and social commitment.

We strive to teach as Jesus did - challenging, loving, and guiding our students, all within a welcoming and nurturing environment.
We believe that our success in educating a student is only possible when the faculty and staff of East Catholic, the student, and the parent work in partnership and agree upon the core beliefs expressed in our mission statement.
Building on Catholic tradition and teaching, and inspired by the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, we educate young men and women according to the Gospel and the life of Jesus Christ. Our instruction in faith and justice is grounded in Catholic social teachings which acknowledge the value and dignity of all human life.
At East Catholic, we seek to develop the whole person and to prepare students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens with a strong moral foundation, an appreciation for diversity, and a dedication to service, justice, and peace.
We are committed to producing graduates who act with integrity and self-discipline as good citizens of their country and Christian leaders for the Church and the world.
To this end of being a family, we have an Ambassadors group that hosts student visitors, visits area schools, and helps plan events such as the Freshman and Family Picnic and the Incoming Freshman Social. We also have a Human Rights group where students learn about situations in the world where people are denied their basic rights. There are events held to raise awareness and help communities.
We also have a Peer Ministry group that is open to juniors and seniors. Our goal is to create a community of faith, fun, and justice. The Social Action Club makes a difference in our community by tutoring and helping in community projects. Stretch Leaders (juniors and seniors who are selected) act as liaisons between the school and our partner service agencies.
These are just a few of the ways that we live the values of our mission statement and strengthen our relationships.
