East Catholic High School Student a Coca Cola Regional Finalist
Grace Mazzarella was selected as one of nearly 2,200 semifinalists from a pool of over 102,000 scholars.

East Catholic High School in Manchester is pleased to announce that senior Grace Mazzarella has been named a regional finalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
Grace was selected as one of nearly 2,200 semifinalists from a pool of over 102,000 applicants. She has now advanced through the selection process and is named as one of 250 regional finalists.

Becoming a regional finalist is an exceptional achievement and was based on her excellent leadership skills, academic achievements, and dedication to community service.
After regional interviews conclude this month, 150 students will be named Coca-Cola Scholars and will receive a $20,000 scholarship to a college of their choice. Regional finalists who do not advance will receive a $1,000 educational stipend.

Grace has been recognized for her outstanding academic achievements and dedication to community service by various agencies, including the Governor’s Scholar program, Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Manchester Association of Christian Churches, The Aurora Foundation for Emerging Philanthropists, and the Tolland Knights of Columbus.
She was instrumental in helping to establish East Catholic’s annual “Feeding Children Everywhere” program, which packs and ships over 45,000 meals to children in impoverished nations, including Uganda and Haiti.
In addition, Grace is an accomplished artist, ballet dancer, and pianist.
