East Catholic Students Feeding Children Everywhere
Recently, all of the students at East Catholic High School packaged up thousands of meals to send to the needy in Haiti.
Recently, all of the students at East Catholic High School packaged up thousands of meals to send to the needy in Haiti as part of the Feeding Children Everywhere event.
At this third annual event, 41,000 meals – lentils, dehydrated vegetables, rice, and spices – were donated and packed for shipping.

Senior Grace Mazzarella first came up with the idea and this is the second year that the people of Haiti will be helped by the event. Even after she graduates this spring, this annual event will continue.
In addition to packaging the meals, the students were responsible for raising the money to buy all the food.

This event is a great way of involving all of our students, and also giving them the opportunity to think about people in other places and other situations.
