Enfield Man Charged with Stealing Materials from South Windsor Machine Shop
Police tracked thousands of dollars worth of materials to a Massachusetts scrap yard and identified the man as the suspect.
South Windsor police have charged an Enfield man with stealing thousands of dollars worth of manufacturing materials from a local machine shop.
Police arrested Travis Worthington, 27, of 19 Grand St. in Enfield, on a warrant Thursday and charged him with conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, third-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.
Police said the arrest stems from a March burglary investigation at a machine shop in South Windsor. Approximately $9,000 worth of carbide cutting heads used in manufacturing had been stolen from the business, according to police.

Investigators tracked some of the stolen product to a Massachusetts scrap yard and identified Worthington as the suspect.
Worthington was held on a $150,000 surety bond and will be presented at Manchester Superior Court on Friday.
