Gift Delivery Turns To Violence In South Windsor: Report
A man is accused of violating a protective order by trying to deliver a child's gift and then assaulting a woman, police said.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — An attempt to deliver a Christmas present turned into a violent domestic incident over the weekend in South Windsor, police said.
Jamie Trinidad-Baez, 44, of South Windsor, was arrested on seven charges for the Saturday altercation, according to a report.
Police recieved a 911 call from a woman at a local condo complex who said a man with whom she had a child — but also had a protective order against — was at her residence attempting to deliver a gift for the child, according to a report. The order had been issued after several previous domestic incidents, police said.

The encounter deteriorated into a dispute that turned into a groping incident, according to a report. The woman said Trinidad-Baez also pointed what looked like a gun at her, a report indicates.
She was able to break free and flee into a nearby car, but he managed to get her out of the car, according to a report.

The woman then escaped back into the home, according to a report.
Hartford police tracked Trinidad-Baez down after being alerted by South Windsor police and he was in possession of a BB gun when taken into custody, according to a report.
Trinidad-Baez was charged with:
- First-degree threatening
- First-degree reckless enganderment
- Risk of injury to a child
- Third-degree sexual assault with a firearm
- Second-degree unlawful restraint
- Disorderly conduct
- Violation of a protective order
He remained in custody on a $75,000 bond Tuesday, police said.
