Gourmet Pasta Chain's South Windsor Store To Close

CONNECTICUT — Multiple Pasta Vita locations are slated to close in Connecticut next month, including the store in South Windsor.

The announcement was made on the pasta chain's Facebook page Friday. The South Windsor store is located at 340 Buckland Road.

The chain's motto is "Gourmet to Go."

According to the social media post, the "licensee" for the Pasta Vita retail stores at the Mohegan Sun casino, and in Avon, Wethersfield and South Windsor has announced that the locations will permanently close, effective July 14.

"We'd like to thank the customers at these locations for their loyalty over the past several years," the post said.

The Pasta Vita location in Old Saybrook will remain open, according to the announcement. The store is wholly owned by Rich Cersosimo and Chef Lou Castanho and marked 30 years in business this year.

"Rich and Lou look forward to seeing you at this location, which is open seven days a week," the post said.

According to the announcement, Pasta Vita gift cards will continue to be honored at the Avon, Mohegan Sun, Wethersfield and South Windsor locations through July 14.

After they close, gift cards can be redeemed at the Pasta Vita location in Old Saybrook, according to chain officials.
