Hartford Man Accused of Larceny, Forgery in South Windsor

South Windsor police recently arrested a Hartford man for allegedly cashing a fraudulent check.

Victor Brown, 54, of 170 Earle Street in Hartford, was arrested on a warrant Oct. 15 on charges of fifth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery. He was held on a $1,000 surety bond.

Police said Brown’s charges stem from an August 2014 case where he presented and cashed a fraudulent check at a Sullivan Avenue bank. Officers were able to identify Brown from surveillance footage and an arrest warrant was obtained and served.
