All Greater Hartford residents are invited to a special Thanksgiving Service, led by local clergy members of different faiths. On Tuesday, November 26 at 6 p.m., Temple Beth Hillel will host our annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. People do not need to belong to a house of worship to attend this service.
“Our annual interfaith service has become a wonderful community-wide tradition, featuring spiritual leaders from a variety of houses of worship who present different portions of the program,” explains Rabbi Jeffrey Glickman "It is an opportunity to showcase how America's treasure is the way we celebrate diversity."
The November 26th event will feature inspirational readings and comments, music and songs. In addition to Rabbi Glickman and Cantor Scott Harris of Temple Beth Hillel, the growing list of local clergy who will participate includes: Rev. Mark Abernethy, Senior Minister of Wapping Community Church-United Church of Christ in South Windsor; Father David Baranowski of South Windsor Catholic Community Saint Junípero Serra Parish; Rev. Christine Boylan, Unity of Greater Hartford; Pastor Thomas Dombrowski of the Connecticut Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Windsor; Rabbi Alan Lefkowitz; and Rev. Nina Schmidt of First Congregational Church of South Windsor-United Church of Christ, with Father Baranowski delivering the sermon.
Temple Beth Hillel is a reform synagogue located at 20 Baker Lane South Windsor. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served following
