JOURNEY FOUND Inc. hosts 2ND Annual 5k Run/Walk to benefit people with disabilities

At Nevers Park in South Windsor on Saturday, May 21st at 9 a.m

South Windsor, CT. May 10, 2017 - Journey Found Inc. will host its 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk to benefit people with disabilities on Sunday May 21, 2017 9 a.m. at Nevers Park in South Windsor, CT. The proceeds raised from the event will benefit the programs and services offered to over 80 people served throughout Connecticut with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event starts with registration from 7:30 am to 8:45am at the Pavilion. Race starts at 9am.

“Journey Found relies on strong community involvement and support to continue our work of assisting people with disabilities lead happy and full lives of their own choosing.” States Tracey Walker, CEO.

This year’s sponsors are: RX Health, FineX Credit Union, Sava Insurance, Siegel O’Connor O’Donnell & Beck PC, Jacobs Walker Rice & Barry LLC., Kudos Pool, Yoli Better Body System, and SOMA Movement Studio. The first 100 participants will receive a race T-shirt and goodie bags. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners in multiple age categories.

Journey Found Inc., is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Manchester, CT. that provides safe and happy homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The mission of the organization is to enable each person to be all they are capable of being by supporting their choices, enhancing their lives, and fulfilling their dreams.
