Magnet School Bus En Route To South Windsor Involved in Vernon Crash

No one was hurt on the way to South Windsor.

VERNON, CT - A school bus taking students to a South Windsor magnet school was involved in a crash on Reservoir Road in Vernon Friday morning, police said.

The crash was near the interchange with Mile Hill Road, police said.

The collision appeared to be minor and no injuries has been reported at 8:45 a.m.

The cause was not yet determined mid-morning and the road remained open during the investigation, police said.

The bus was being operated for the Capitol Region Education Council and was transporting students to a the International Magnet School for Global Citizenship in South Windsor, emergency management officials and a spokeswoman for CREC said.

No student was injured in the crash, the spokeswoman said.
