Man Charged with Burglarizing South Windsor Home

The man is accused of stealing jewelry and using the victim's credit card.

South Windsor police arrested an East Hartford man in connection with a burglary from a Loomis Road home in which jewelry was stolen this past October.

David Barnes-Dowdell, 26, was arrested on a warrant March 20 and charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree larceny and illegal use of a credit card.

Police said the charges stem from an October 2014 burglary complaint at a Loomis Road home. The investigation revealed that Barnes-Dowdell accessed the home while visiting a tenant and stole several pieces of jewelry.
