Man Charged With Physically Abusing Woman

South Windsor Police arrested a town man on arrest warrants in connection to four cases of abuse against a local woman.

A South Windsor man faces charges of physically abusing a local woman on four occasions, according to South Windsor Police.

Police arrested Austin Conran, 23, of 10 Nature’s Way, on four arrest warrants on Dec. 18.

Conran was charged with two counts of first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, three counts of third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, breach of peace and second-degree criminal mischief.

Police said the four cases are the result of a recent complaint by a local woman in which she identified four distinct cases of abuse that included physical violence. The investigating officer prepared arrest warrants for Conran, which were served Friday afternoon.

Conran was later released on a $200,000 court-set bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Monday, Dec. 21.
