Man Charged With Stealing Money from South Windsor Restaurant

Police exceuted an arrest warrant on the man Thursday morning.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - Police executed an arrest warrant Thursday morning on a man accused of stealing money from a local restaurant, Deputy Chief Scott Custer said.

Geoffrey Weaving, 44, of 331 Beths Ave., Bristol, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny. He was held on $40,000 surety bond.

Weaving’s charges stem from a March 2016 burglary complaint from a local restaurant. Surveillance footage captured the suspect removing $900 from an office, and employees recognized the suspect as Weaving, who had been recently hired there, Custer said.

Detectives interviewed Weaving, who admitted his involvement in the crime. The money was recovered and an arrest warrant was obtained.

Weaving will be presented at Manchester Superior Court Thursday morning.
