A South Windsor man faces a sexual assault charge after allegedly grabbing a woman’s buttocks and making several unwelcome sexual comments to her, according to police.

South Windsor Police arrested Lawrence Clancy, 46, of 19 Henry Road, South Windsor, on an arrest warrant on Feb. 7.

He was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

Police said Clancy’s charge stems from a January 2016 complaint from a woman that he’d grabbed her buttocks and made several unwelcome sexual comments to her.

The woman discussed the incident with family members and later reported it to the police department.

Clancy was released on a $30,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Feb. 18. bed.
