Man Threatened To Kill Hospital Staff Members: South Windsor Police

The man told his counselor he intended to obtain a pistol permit and purchase a firearm to kill Mount Sinai Hospital staff, police said

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Windsor man turned himself in to South Windsor police Tuesday night after learning of a warrant for his arrest, stemming from a verbal threat lasts month to kill staff members at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford.

Connor Zawasky, 24, was charged with second-degree threatening, and was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond. He was also served with a Risk Protection Order, barring him from buying, receiving or possessing a firearm ,ammunition, or a deadly weapon until a hearing at Hartford Superior Court, Sgt. Mark Cleverdon said.

The charge stems from a June 8 report in which Zawasky told his counselor he intended to obtain a pistol permit and purchase a firearm to kill the hospital staff members, Cleverdon said.

Zawasky is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on the threatening charge July 27.
