Man Threatened Teen's Father After Trying to Meet with Girl: Police

A South Windsor resident caught his 16-year-old daughter trying to sneak out of the house to meet with a 21-year-old in a nearby car.

A 21-year-old man faces charges after South Windsor Police say he threatened a 16-year-old girl’s father after the man confronted him about trying to meet with his daughter.

William Brewster, 21, of 108 Spielman Road, South Windsor, was arrested Feb. 5 on a warrant at Manchester Superior Court and charged with second-degree threatening and breach of peace.

Brewster’s charges stem from a 2015 incident on Abbe Road in which a resident caught his 16-year-old daughter trying to sneak out of the house to meet an unknown male who was parked nearby, according to Deputy Chief Scott Custer.

Brewster then allegedly yelled at the man, cursed at him and threatened to shoot him (no weapon was shown), according to Custer.
