Man Threatens Family Member With Knife: South Windsor Police
The accused fled on foot and was bitten by a police dog, police said. He is being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A South Windsor man is being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond after being in charged in connection with a threatening incident, police said in a news release.
On Sunday, Feb. 24 at 10:00 p.m., South Windsor Police responded to an Ellington Road home for a domestic dispute, police said. Officers learned that a man had threatened another family member with a knife, police said.
The man was prohibited from being at the home due to a protective order, police said. He had fled on foot and a canine team from East Hartford Police was called to assist, police said. A short time later, the canine team and officers located the suspect near Veterans Memorial Park, police said.

The man had been bitten by the police canine due to his threatening behavior toward officers, police said.
Officers arrested the man, Marcelo Campos, 37, of Ellington Road, South Windsor. He was charged with risk of injury to a minor, interfering with an officer, interfering with an emergency call, violation of protective order, and second-degree threatening.
