South Windsor opens District 8 group play with a 7-5 victory over Thompsonville.

Will Nowak pitched a complete game and went 3-for-4, including a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 6th inning to propel the South Windsor Nationals to a 7-5 victory over a game Thompsonville team in District 8 group play.
Thompsonville (0-1) jumped out in front 2-0 early in this seesaw battle on a first-inning home run by Diego Claudio.

South Windsor (1-0) came roaring back in the bottom of the 3rd on a two-run home run by clean-up hitter Jimmy Tamburro to knot the score at 2.
The dramatics continued in the top of the 4th, as Thompsonville pitcher Leden Brosseau hit the first of his two homeruns to put Thompsonville ahead 3-2.

South Windsor again took the lead in the bottom of the 4th 5-3 on pair of walks, a triple by second baseman Jacques Bouquot and a single by Nowak.
Once again Thompsonville battled back in the top of the 6th to tie the score at 5 each on a clutch double by Justin Ledger.
That set the stage for Nowak's walk-off home run following a single by Jacques Bouquot.
