Nutmeg Technologies Kicks Off Annual Food Drive This Week

Nutmeg Technologies hosts food drive for South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank

“Fill This Box” Is a Focus

South Windsor, CT — November 11, 2016 — Nutmeg Technologies in partnership with local businesses will be collecting canned goods and dry goods throughout the months of November and December with all items to benefit South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank. This year’s drive is part of Nutmeg Technologies mission to “Unite the Community”, which aims to bring South Windsor businesses and community together to stamp out hunger and ensure that area residents have what they need over these winter months.

Collection boxes are located in the 18+ facilities/businesses across South Windsor (Participating businesses found: www.nutmegtech.com/fooddrive), and donations will be accepted during regular business hours. Monetary donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase gift cards used to buy items still needed. These donations can be made at Nutmeg Technologies facility at 279 Nutmeg Rd. South, South Windsor.

“The nutmeg Technologies’ food drive efforts are a great example of what’s happening in our community,” notes Nutmeg’s President Lisa Smith. “More so now than ever, businesses are stepping up to serve their communities, and we are realizing that hunger is a reality in every town, not only in our most challenged communities. The entire Nutmeg Technologies family is proud to be a part of this effort.”

Nutmeg Technologies food drive has a real focus on “Filling This Box,” which encourages businesses and families to donate the kinds of foods that have the most impact—such as Snacks and Juice for Kids, Cereal/Oatmeal, Hearty Soups and Stews, Rice and Boxed Potatoes, Spaghetti Sauce, Canned Fruit, Tuna Fish/Canned Chicken, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Canned Raviolis, Spaghettios, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Shampoo, Soap, Toothpaste, and Diapers in larger sizes (3-5)
