Obituary: Mary White, 83 Of South Windsor and Milford

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - Mary ¨Nicky¨ (Bancroft) White, 83 years old, of South Windsor, CT. Previously a long time resident of Milford, CT. Beloved wife of James R. White entered into eternal peace on March 2, 2019. Mary was born January 11, 1936 in Stafford Springs, CT, the daughter of the late Arthur Raymond and Frances Louisa (Fowler) Bancroft.

She was a compassionate person who worked in the nursing field, retiring after 30 years. Mary loved spending time with her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Besides her husband James to whom she was married to for 62 years, she is survived by a son, Robert M. White and wife Gail of Milford CT. and two daughter, Linda Shivers and her husband Tom of Vernon, CT, and Nancy Beimler of Vernon, CT. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at Rockville United Methodist Church, 142 Grove Street, Vernon, CT on Friday, March 8, at 11 am.

The family would like to give thanks to the staff of ¨Caring Hands¨ and Hospice of Vernon for the wonderful care and compassion that was shown to Mary.
