“Our region’s annual interfaith service has become a wonderful tradition and is an opportunity to showcase how America's treasure is the way we celebrate diversity," explains Rabbi Jeffrey Glickman of Temple Beth Hillel. "After a stressful year filled with Coronavirus isolation and sometimes contentious political campaigns, we look forward to joining with other clergy and faith leaders who have conveyed calm and tolerance to their congregants, and we encourage the public to watch and enjoy.”
“When I pray in an interfaith community, I am strengthened and lifted up by the truth that I am not alone, especially important during these challenging times,” says Cantor Scott Harris of Temple Beth Hillel. “This evening will bring together good people of many faiths, backgrounds, and truths and we will be filled with gratitude, not just for our gifts, but for the gift of our community beyond our own doorsteps. It is a presence that reminds us that we are here for each other, and with each other.”

Temple Beth Hillel is an inclusive congregation that welcomes interfaith families. The Temple was formed in 1960 in South Windsor and, in 2000, moved into its current building on the 20 Baker Lane, carrying a Torah from the old building to the new. In 2018, its congregation blended with the members of the former Congregation Beth Ahm in Windsor, who crossed the Connecticut River to join Temple Beth Hillel. Affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism, the Temple holds services in English and Hebrew, has an active religious school, and is involved in social action and social justice. www.tbhsw.org
