The Residence at South Windsor Farms Welcomes Experienced Manament Team to Grand Opening

Amber Braman Named Executive Director; Dash Mortensen Named Sales & Marketing Director.

September 30, 2014—SOUTH WINDSOR, CT. LCB Senior Living, LLC (www.lcbseniorliving.com), owner and operator of The Residence at South Windsor Farms (www.residencesouthwindsor.com) at 200 Deming Street in South Windsor, CT, is pleased to announce that Amber Braman has been named Executive Director, and Dash Mortensen has been named Sales & Marketing Director. Both Mrs. Braman and Mr. Mortensen are highly-qualified and well-respected eldercare professionals with years of experience in the Greater Hartford and New Haven areas.

The community, which is currently under construction and set to open at the end of the year, offers Independent, Assisted and Reflections Memory Care to local seniors. Its location at the heart of South Windsor, will offer residents an easy proximity to recreation, shopping, houses of worship and the many natural and cultural resources of the region.

Mrs. Braman has extensive experience in all facets of the senior living industry, including assisted living and Memory Care programs. Most recently, she served as Senior Program Director for Maplewood Senior Living communities. She previously was Executive Director of Maplewood at Orange, where she successfully implanted a number of programs to improve resident services and community success.

Mrs. Braman commented: “We are extremely excited to open our new community this winter. The building is really coming along, and I think our residents and families will be thrilled with not only the building itself, but our lifestyle options. Our emphasis is on wellness and a positive approach to living the life one chooses complete with activities and relaxation alike.”

Dash Mortensen is a sales veteran with a history of success in the Greater Hartford market. Over the course of his career he’s held various positions, giving him a holistic understanding of not only his community, but the unique needs that individual prospective residents may have.

“It’s a terrific opportunity for me,” he said, regarding this new position. “The Residence at South Windsor Farms brings a whole new standard of senior living to the area, and I know that the people who know and love this region will feel right at home.”

The Residence at South Windsor Farms will create 80 Independent, Assisted and Memory Care apartments on a beautiful, landscaped campus. Independent Living residents will have their own apartment with kitchenette and bath, along with the peace of mind of 24-hour security, three gourmet meals prepared and served restaurant style on-site, health and wellness programs, available laundry and cleaning services, a full activities program, building and grounds maintenance, and a host of optional services. Assisted Living residents will have all of the above, along with assistance with the activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, medication reminders, and other services.

The Residence at South Windsor Farms will also include Reflections Memory Care services for residents with early stage Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments. In addition to offering sophisticated cognitive programming and a range of daily services, Reflections is a secure, safe environment with its own common areas, walking courtyard, and other amenities.
