Sex Offender Failed to Register Address: South Windsor Police

South Windsor Police have charged a man with failing to register as a sex offender.

Police arrested Samuel Ely, 43, of 181 Clark St., New Britain, on Oct. 10 on an arrest warrant. He was charged with failure to register –sex offender and was later released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Police say Ely’s charge stems from a July 2015 violation that occurred when he failed to update the State Police Sex Offender Unit when he changed addresses.

Ely is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 22.
