Sleeping Woman Charged with DUI

South Windsor Police found the woman asleep behind the wheel while parked in a driveway.

An East Windsor woman, who was found asleep behind the wheel of her car, was charged with DUI in South Windsor.

South Windsor Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway on Route 5 at about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 10.

Officers found the female operator asleep behind the wheel, according to police.

Following a series of roadside sobriety tests officers arrested the woman, Shayna Noble, 30, of 376 Scantic Road in East Windsor.

Noble was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and operating under suspension.

Noble was later released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 25.
