South Windsor Advances to Volleyball Semifinals
The Bobcats swept Maloney to earn a berth in the Class M Final Four.

Two boys volleyball teams from the north-central Connecticut area advanced to the Class M semifinals with victories Friday night, while a third came up short.
Top-seeded South Windsor shut out No. 8 Maloney, 3-0. Game scores were 29-27, 25-15 and 25-16.
Newington, the third seed, also pitched a 3-0 shutout over No. 11 New Canaan. Game scores were 25-22, 25-16 and 25-19.

Enfield traveled to Redding to face No. 2 Joel Barlow and gave it a great run in the second game, but the seventh-seeded Raiders came up on the short end of a 3-0 decision. Game scores were 25-16, 30-28 and 25-11.
Semifinal matches will take place Tuesday, June 7 at sites and times to be determined. South Windsor will face No. 5 Masuk, while Newington will square off with Joel Barlow.
