South Windsor Council Responds To High Demand For Aftercare

Some parents reportedly waited overnight to sign up their children for the program.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - With demand for after school child care services overwhelming, the town has had to get creative with solutions. According to Fox 61, some parents lined up overnight recently to sign up their children for the 4th R Program.

In response to this, the town council has created a plan to work with the YMCA to set up additional programs at Avery Street Church and Temple Beth Hillel.

Council members said the demand for the program was much higher than they had expected due to more families moving into town.
