South Windsor Field Hockey Earns First Victory

Bridget Kelly broke team's two-game scoring draught.

The South Windsor field hockey team scored its first goal and earned its first victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Northwest Catholic on Tuesday.

Bridget Kelly broke the Bobcats scoring drought, which lasted two full games - 1-0 losses to Hall and Farmington.

This time, South Windsor was on the positive end of a 1-0 decision, as Kelly scored off an assist from Kat Adamo with 7:57 left in the first half.

Goalie Caitlin Gilligan recorded one save to earn the clean sheet, while Northwest Catholic goalie Christina Wilson recorded three saves.

South Windsor hosts Conard this Friday at 3:45 p.m.
