South Windsor Field Hockey Suffers Heartbreaking Loss

The South Windsor field hockey team suffered its second consecutive heartbreaking loss, falling 1-0 to Farmington on Friday.

Jenny Bruzik scored the game’s only goal off an assist by Caroline Boikowski in the first minute of play.

Goalie Caitlin Gilligan had 3 saves for the Bobcats, while Jennifer Geyer, her Farmington counterpart, had four saves.

It’s the second time in three days that South Windsor lost 1-0. On Tuesday, the Bobcats (0-1-0-1) lost to Hall in the season opener 1-0 on a goal scored with 8 seconds left in overtime.

The Bobcats have their home opener against Northwest Catholic on Tuesday.
