South Windsor Hazardous Material Collection Coming Up

The event will take place in Manchester.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - South Windsor residents may participate in the Town of Manchester Hazardous Waste Collection program on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 321 Olcott Street, Manchester, CT from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Bring a DRIVER’S LICENSE, TAX BILL OR CAR REGISTRATION to prove residency. This is your opportunity to safely dispose of latex and oil based paints & stains, acids, insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers, chemicals, household cleaning products, and other hazardous materials which may have accumulated at your home, in your basement, or garage.

Please leave all materials in their original containers. DO NOT BRING: antifreeze, motor oil, or alkaline batteries for disposal.

For your convenience paint can be recycled at your local drop-off centers. Use PaintCare’s search tool at https://www.paintcare.org/paintcare-states/connecticut/#/everyone to find your nearest drop-off site.
Directions to the facility: Take Exit 1 from 384, follow Spencer Street for 0.9 miles. Turn left on Olcott Street. Follow signs to Facility (321 Olcott Street). Questions - please call the Public Works Department at (860) 644-2511, ext. 343, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM.– 4:30 PM.
