South Windsor High Girls Soccer Earns First Victory

The South Windsor High girls soccer team earned its first victory of the season on Friday, defeating rival Manchester 2-1 on Friday in South Windsor.

Dylan Burns put Manchester up 1-0 in the 30th minute, but Becca Karlins scored a brace of goals for the Bobcats, who held on for the win.

Karlins opened her account in the 33rd minute off an assist from Auna Harvey; Karlins struck again in the 60th minute unassisted.

South Windsor goalkeeper Kristina Russo had three saves in the victory, while Abbey Costa, her Manchester counterpart, had five saves.
